The Neo-Nazi Problem

and decline of secular humanity.

Racial Armageddon, nationalism, xenophobia, extreme rightwing ideology, patriotism, fascism, Neo-Nazism, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, reformations that advocate greater adherence to conservatism, to religion and race, share a common heritage. Morbid prophecy, messianic visions, violent affirmations and utterly disastrous blowback. The escalation or emergence of the “New Right” across the world, in America, Europe, Russia, Israel, Ukraine, India, Argentina, Canada, Japan and a host of other nations finds new strength and renewed darkness, at the intersections of old-school fascism, terrorized ethnic minorities, walled borders, racial depravity, collapsing economies and violent conservative manifestos. In effect, throwing down the gauntlet at democracy once again, in the name of the disenfranchised, the unabashed, the seething roaring masses.

“Be a Nazi, just don’t use the word.” DeWest Hooker (1998). “Understood by us all, destined to realize God's design for humanity.” (Christian Identity 2006). Be the true Hindu, fulfill your Karma…” (Swami Adityanath 2018). “Handbook for white victory… a blueprint for revolution.” (Turner Diaries 1978). “Show me the village, the town, the region that would take the refugees happily...” (Otto Schilly, Germany, 2005). “The white race is the most endangered species on the face of the earth.” (Aryan Nation 2002). “Blood and Iron, are the utmost qualities of true Russians…” (Vladimir Putin 1999). “We, the descendants of the creator…” (Likud Coalition, 2013). “Neo-Nazis as de-facto fifth wheel of state policy…” (Otto Ernst Remer 1980). “This is Argentina and we are proud of our patriots and founders.” (New Triumph Party 2010). “America was not stolen. It was conquered.” (Patriot Front 2018). “Revolutionary tradition and elementary reformation…” (Forza Nuova Italy). “Membership within the American nation is inherited through blood, not ink.” (Deport Them All, 2024). Consider the above quotes as the tip of the iceberg, with the intention to just conceptualize the magnitude of “national rebirth” (The Politics of Cultural Despair, Fritz Stern).

The following story is a chronicle, mapping the rise of the “New Right” globally speaking. About old shadowy figures, in cohorts with new leaders, political sympathizers, messiahs and a range of domestic terrorists, that have collectively carried on the “Nazi torch” around the world, for more than 80 years. And even back into the “Fatherland”. The rise of the “New Right” is directly proportional to the fragmentation of democracy. Neo-Nazis situated within several politically unstable liberal democracies. A society that became “ripe for exploitation” by a range of extreme Right organizations, small splinter groups, propaganda mills, underground terror cells, militia groups, private cults, leading up to powerful political parties. As award winning writer Chris Hedges outlines the incoming possibility of “secular humanist society based on science and reason will be destroyed…”

There are thousands of documentaries, movies, books, stories and conspiracy theories which unravel the long gone “Nazi Era” but very few which document the global proliferation of the old Nazi vanguard, conservatism and nationalism within foreign minds and countries. The reformation, new plots, counter-insurgency projects, play off between the enemies and the intelligence, with frequent blowback and unforeseen outcomes. Three figures of the Third Reich, who managed to not only escape ruin and execution, but thrive as ambassadors of unfinished projects, carried over to South America, US and the Middle-East as new seeding grounds, leading to a range of horrific outcomes and new entanglements.

Otto ‘Scarface’ Skorzeny was a member of both the Schutzstaffel (SS) and the Gestapo. Famous for his rescue of Mussolini (1943), Skorzeny had spent close to a decade training special agents about sabotage, espionage and paramilitary skills. His experience would power many post-war projects, spanning continents. Sensing incoming defeat and slaughter at the hands of the Red Army (March 1945), using dozens of Red Cross ambulances Skorzeny transported gold, jewelry, old paintings and cash through southern Germany into Italy, Greece, Spain and then across the Atlantic to Argentina, Chile, Bolivia and Uruguay. According to Angel Alcazar de Velasco (Spanish Fascist) additional gold shipments during 1943-45 were disseminated through the German Foreign Office to its embassies in Madrid, Lisboa Stockholm, Athens, Ankara, Cairo and Bern. Yet such undercover robbery and distribution would not be possible without oversight and organization. “Die Spinne” (The Spider) is one such example of organized Nazi networking involving a range of foreign agents, banks, embassies, politicians and businesses that helped launder WW2 wealth, from mainland Europe into other parts of the world, over decades. “We cannot be sure if the organization has ceased to exist…” (Christopher R. Hood Jr. New England Nazi Chapter).

‘Scarface’ escaped from Darmstadt prison in 1949. The Romanian Iron Guard assisted Skorzeny with passage to Madrid, seeking protection of Fransisco Franco’s regime, whereby setting up a secret reformation unit called “Nazi Werewolves” in early 1951. The group’s mission was primarily to smuggle Nazi renegades hiding in Switzerland, Austria, Spain and Portugal, out of Europe. By 1953 several members of the “Nazi Werewolves” were assigned to terrorize and spy on Americans, French, British and Russians officials living inside occupied Germany.

Skorzeny would play a key role in connecting German military expertise of Krupp and President Juan Peron of Argentina during 1965-66. Peron’s domestic policy wielded a reign of terror upon thousands of Argentine dissidents, communists, workers, journalists, political rivals and prominent Jewish business. The Argentine regime would provide a safe haven to high-ranking Nazi officers, Italian Fascists, war criminals along with their families. While Skorzeny was based in Buenos Aires he assisted ex-Nazis including Hans-Ulrich Rudel (Stuka Hero) become part of the Argentine air force. Anti-Communist credentials and fascist ideologues were favored by Peron and by Nazi diaspora and business groups in Argentina. Bolivian general René Emilio Barrientos Ortuño sought Argentine weapons and militia in 1965, to eventually gain power and popular support, leading the way to become president of Bolivia in 1967. The same year Barrientos signed the execution order of revolutionary leader ‘Che Ernesto Guevara’.

Over time, counter-insurgency and guerilla training would become Skorzeny’s unique selling proposition, extending his “expertise” to nationalist leaders and anti-imperial freedom fighters based in former Yugoslavia, Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Palestine and Syria. Is how Otto Skorzeny amassed a sizeable fortune but with no heirs. Skorzeny found opportunity even within Pan Arab Nationalism. Extensively collaborating with Gamal Abdel Nasser, Skrozeny trained young Yasser Arafat, as part of a Palestine guerilla unit, the founding cadre of PFLP, the future PLO. In 1975 aged 69, Skorzeny died in Madrid. The same year, his patron protector Fransisco Franco, dictator of Spain, also passed away ending more than 40 years of Fascist darkness and regression in Spain. The local Neo-Nazis of Spain would appear decades later.

Defeated and disbanded, certain Nazis knew that their survival or even hope of reformation, could only be possible by playing the West against the East or vice verse. No one better at that game than Reinhard Gehlen. Well before the end of WW2, Gehlen was convinced that the US and the Soviet Union would be at loggerheads. “The Prussian spymaster crafted a plan to keep his experienced staff together and to maintain the clandestine cells, radio posts, propaganda mills and tiny guerrilla groups active, spread across Eastern Europe and the Balkans… make the victors pay for it.” (The Beast Reawakens, Martin A. Lee). Gehlen much like Heinrich Lubke evaded the Nuremberg Trails, thanks to deals brokered with western Intelligence, based on the vast archives of the Soviet Union. Information about its army, ordinances, prisons, list of espionage agents, its industrial and human resources. An ardent anti-Semite and anti-Communist, on one hand Gehlen provided the Americans and British with tons of “Soviet Secrets” and on the other hand forged the ‘The Gehlen Organization’ as the predecessor of West German intelligence, the BND (Bundesnachrichtendienst).

By the late 50s, the BND managed to enlist dozens of ex-Nazi, ex-Wehrmacht officers and East German defectors into the state apparatus, as well as help former ‘Hitlerites’ find “comfortable lodging” within West German political parties such as the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). In effect the newly formed ‘Bonn Republic’ of 1955-65 would swiftly become a “Trojan Horse for hundreds of ex-Nazis dreaming and plotting a revival”. Even as Chancellor Konrad Adenauer and Gehlen both shared anti-American ideologies, the state apparatus absorbed defectors from East Germany, Poland, Ukraine and Hungary. Reinhard Gehlen’s repertoire would impress young American Neo-Nazis way more than James Bond. His involvement with the U.S. intelligence (1948-58) would extend into the foundations of NATO in late 1949 and the inclusion of West Germany in 1955. Even though Gehlen could not manage a “wholesale Nazi restoration” his dedication to the project manifested as the “Ratline” whereby hundreds of ex-Nazis found safe passage to the US, Canada, Argentina, Mexico, Panama, Chile, Bolivia and Uruguay. The infamous ‘Klaus Barbie’ being just one case of Gehlen’s “Ratline”. The funny part, that the BND, CIA, NATO and KGB, were all clued in, about the proliferation of the “Nazi Pathogen”.

According to German historian Hedwig Richter, by the late 1990s, the diaspora of ex-Nazis dotted around western hemisphere would “number no less than 50,000”. In 1998, the U.S. Congress passed the “Nazi War Crimes Disclosure Act” and as a consequence hundreds of documents, photographs and memos exchanged between Gehlen, Konrad Adenauer, Theodor Heuss, and the CIA were exposed. The widespread recruitment of ex-Nazis during the Cold War by the US and Soviet Union, however clandestine or organized would lead to many unforeseen entanglements and future blowback. Geopolitics itself would provide the “right conditions” for the “New Right” to emerge properly. Yet Reinhard Gehler would not be around to see all that, quietly passing away in Bavaria (June 1979).

Otto Ernst Remer’s breakthrough as a ‘Nazi hero’ came right after the failed attempt to assassinate Hitler in July 1944. Heading the “bloodbath of revenge” that followed, more than 5,000 Germans were arrested, tortured and killed. Unlike Reinhard Gehlen and Otto Skorzeny, this Wehrmacht General was clearly anti-American, anti-Semitic and hence pro-Communist. But Remer never ceased dreaming of a fascist comeback and a reunified Germany. “National Socialism would one day conquer the world without having to wage another war.” One of the founding members of the Sozialistische Reichs Partei (SRP) Remer managed to gather more than 150,000 volunteers by 1951. He believed that German rearmament was essential, but not to save Western Europe from Communism. Even as the CIA and British intelligence dreaded the reformation of Fascist groups within Germany, as Remer retained complete impunity till 1953. The same year, SRP was banned by the newly formed West German parliament. Using the “Ratline” Remer escaped to Damascus in 1955. Remer and his colleagues, as expats “pursued a strategic relationship” with the Soviet Union, all the while still hoping for a reunited “Fatherland”. One that would be “armed to the teeth again”, and would position itself back as a formidable power, between East and West, only to dominate Europe again. And boy did it happen!

Situated in the Middle-East, Remer’s past military experience would find a new market and calling, with several Arab groups based in the Levant. Weapons manufactured in Spain, Italy, Czechoslovakia and Argentina were shipped to anti-Imperial and anti-Israeli coalitions sprouting in the Middle-East. By the mid 1960s, Remer and his old friend Otto Skorzeny had managed to arm and train small Arab militia groups, anticipating the “coming revolt of the Arab world” against the British, French imperial outposts and the new Zionist settlers in occupied Palestine.

One influential Arab leader to seek alliance with the Nazis was Haj Amin al-Husayni, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem. While situated in Egypt, Remer wrote an article for Der Weg, a Nazi monthly published in Buenos Aires, claiming that both Germans and Arabs were oppressed by “international Jewry”. After the ‘73 Arab–Israeli War, a significant number of new guerilla groups would emerge within the region. 1976-78, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard situated in Baalbek (Lebanon) would procure guns, bombs, munition and communication devices from supply lines, established earlier by Skorzeny, Remer, Ernst-Wilhelm Springer, Ahmed Ben Bella (Algeria), Nasser (Egypt) King Hussein of Jordan and Hasan Salama (Palestine). Ahead of the above organized militias, the Christian Phalanges (Kataeb Party) based in Lebanon came about from the largest Christian community in the Middle-East, the Maronite leaders who also favored Nazi doctrines.

The denial of WW2 Holocaust has roots that go back to publications like Der Weg, Die Neue Front and Natione Europa. Underground or banned, they frequently published Holocaust denial propaganda (mid-1960s) in German, Spanish, Dutch and English. Yet Remer managed to evade extradition for decades, using loopholes within Spanish law to deflect German arrest warrants. Special extradition laws created by Fransisco Franco, that exempted all ex-Nazis residing within Spanish territory. Remer died in Marbella (Andalusia, tourist town) in October 1997 aged 88.

Eventually the cadre of old-guard Fascists and Nazis, who had kept the torch burning perished one by one. The flames and spirit had already passed on, to the proceeding generations of extremists, fascists and nationalists, including ambitious politicians who are carrying on the “mission and struggle”.

Contrary to popular imagination shaped by Hollywood and oversimplified documentaries, the “Nazi Problem” was neither solved nor was it contained. “The reunification of Germany and the collapse of the Soviet Union, together signaled a new era for younger Neo-Nazis and Christian conservatives across the European hinterland.” (The Beast Reawakens, Martin A Lee). The renewed wish to “extinguish liberal democracy” as well as new Anti-American and Anti-Immigrant sentiments escalated into violence against people from Africa, Middle-East, China, Russia and Poland. According to Robert O. Paxton, a leading scholar of Fascism, no amount of reform, legal prosecution and imprisonment could improve the “the deficiencies of German culture and the German spirit.” As war broke out in the Balkans, hundreds of Neo-Nazis poured into the conflict, enlisting within nationalist ranks based in former Yugoslavia, Croatia and Bosnia. On occasion German soldiers on “peacekeeping missions hurled racial epithets” at Albanian and Serbian troops, telling them, “Adolf Hitler would have stuck you in the gas chamber.” But enough of such ridiculous peace keeping and cross-border racism.

A reunified Germany would symbolize many things good and bad, depending upon what perspective or context you wish to approach the event. Regardless, the rise of the “New Right” within Europe was ushered in by the collapse of the Berlin Wall and the death of USSR. But not the Nazis. Defeated, shamed and exiled, all-be-it they succeeded to seed the continent with many anti-democratic gangs and far-Right juntas. Many of them ready for militia type action. Unchecked power always concentrates itself over time. Between 1965-1995 more than 70 political organizations birthed in Europe, that identify themselves either as nationalists or christian conservatives or socialists. And yet smaller units embody the violence via racist, anti-Semitic and anti-Immigrant projects. This form of asymmetrical terrorism is similar to the resistance groups in the Middle-East, during the 1970s and 80s. The erstwhile notions of “Master Race and Pure Nation” would coalesce into Neo-Nazi rage, directed at dark skinned Asians, Muslim and Africans. In 1991, Flaams Blok (Flemish Bloc) demanded the expulsion of foreigners, numbering roughly 20% of Belgium’s population. Similar groups would make their presence felt, localized in Holland, France, Denmark, Spain, Italy and England. The period 1995-2009 is witness to waves of immigrants entering European soil, thanks to unfettered globalization, regional wars and disastrous outcome of international geopolitics. The blowback and consequent monstrosities it has caused, would take another Dante!

According to a survey conducted by Der Speigel in 1994, a quarter of German schoolchildren believed that descriptions of the Holocaust were “greatly exaggerated” and 1 out of 5 supported Nazi era admonitions like ‘Juden Raus’ “Jews out!”. September 19, 1991, Neo-Nazis attacked a hostel for Asian and African immigrant in Hoyerswerda. They burned the building down, terrorizing the immigrants and townsfolk, as well as inciting other Neo-Nazi and anti-Immigrant groups into action. “The ‘Deutsch mob’ was not easily sated. Neo-Nazis went ballistic, stabbing immigrants on street corners, burning children to death in their homes, and beating up “non- Germans” in dozens of cities and towns.” (The Beast Reawakens). Official numbers show 1683 violent racist incidents that occurred between 1990-1993 within reunified Germany. A record breaking rise of xenophobic violence, forcing the German parliament to slash immigration policies and round up thousands of asylum seekers.

During the late 1990s, in Belgium, France, Spain and Holland “vaguely racist gabbers” akin to 80s skin-heads, remained unorganized but regionally active. Mostly concerned themselves with massive raves, hard-drugs, vandalism, online forums, merchandise and propaganda, but shared a common devotion, to subvert constitutional rights, civic laws and vandalize institutions that protect foreigners and immigrants. But far-Right activity can go horribly wrong, when facing an equally militant enemy. As is the case of Professor Pim Fortuyn. On 6 May 2002 Pim Fortuyn was assassinated in front of his house in Hilversum (Holland). The first political murder in Holland since WW2.

But far higher number of violent organized attacks continue on people of color, in towns like Chemnitz, Neukölln, Dresden, Bad Hersfeld and Kassel to name a few. As a country that puts forward an image of international multiculturalism, Neo-Nazi reformation and violence not only busts the myth but also exposes the diminishing prospects of democracy, very frequently involved in surveillance, crackdown and police violence. The recent crackdown on citizens and journalists involved in Pro-Palestine anti-Zionist activities in Germany is one ongoing example.

Yet more powerful ultra-nationalist leaders would rise to power, thanks to ordinary Germans voting for the AfD in large numbers, enough to directly attack various liberal institutions and Left political parties. Hence, was Germany really De-Nazified? Why does Germany unquestionably support the genocidal settler colonial project of Israel? Who financially empowers the AfD and a range of Neo-Nazis? Regardless, the long dead fathers of the Third Reich would surely be proud of the AfD and 21st-century blonde Aryan ultra-nationalists! Worse than you think. No surprise that a white messianic figure like Elon Musk would podcast with the AfD.

Through projects like Operation Paperclip, Ratline, Odessa and Die Spinne, many Third Reich scientists, engineers, chemists, weapons experts, pilots, doctors, espionage agents, aerial photographers etc found their way into post-War America and some even into the state and military apparatus. Merits a special mention about intelligence maverick Frank G. Wisner who was key to rehabilitate many Nazis as well as communist defectors to America and Canada. But these skilled folks, Nazi or not, would be totally overshadowed by the emergence of Neo-Nazi figures symbolic of “White Pride” and “Aryan Revival”. Asymmetric alliances and formations would sweep hundreds of thousands of people into white nationalism, anti-immigration, Nordicism, antisemitism, anti-Catholicism, right-wing populism, anti-communism, homophobia, anti-atheism, and Islamophobia. Common to fascist leaders back then and even now, is a harvesting of fear, reaping the returns of national moral panic. Or as Francis Parkey Yockey wrote at the end of his life - “Youth of America— awake. It’s your problem and your task.”. Would make Yockey proud of Donald Trump harking “Build a wall.. Crime will fall”.

Francis Parker Yockey was controversial and iconic for Neo-Nazis in America. His messianic visions of “Racial Armageddon” for a superior society would bring back Germanic visions of the “Master Race”. Yockey was a devout anti-Jewish pro-Nazi figure who was eventually kicked out of military service in 1944 on medical grounds, suffering from ‘dementia praecox’. Despite his dubious track record, Yockey managed to secure a low paying job at an American army base in West Germany. The Counterintelligence Corps raided his home in Germany in 1947, but Yockey fled to Brittas Bay, Ireland. Exiled there for about 3 years, Yockey composed his magnum opus, six-hundred-pages titled ‘Imperium’.

Following the footsteps of Oswald Spengler, yet again Yockey identified a bunch of “high cultures” in history, which he believed were “spiritual superorganisms” and consequently the rest were either garbage or up for outright elimination. But ironic his revised future of Europe as a single, integrated entity, which would actually happen decades later. Yockey’s philosophy of “cultural vitalism” is a redux of Spengler’s “Decline of the West” that works its way into the future as Samuel Huntington’s “Clash Of Civilizations”. Yockey’s ideas would be absorbed by young American fascists, members of the KKK, anti-Semites, Satanists and Odinists to name a few. Mastermind of the Oklahoma City Bombing, Timothy McVeigh was an ardent follower of Yockey and Spengler. Even young neo-Fascists like Augustus Sol Invictus idolize Yockey as the “American Hitler”. Yockey’s Imperium inspired George Lincoln Rockwell, founder of the Nazi Party Of America (NPA). The entanglement of racial segregation and racial purity can be seen as a collusion of the extremist macho-alpha. The Neo-Nazis and the ‘Nation Of Islam’ shared similar values, drew peace and were anti-Imperial, anti-Communist, anti-Semitic and anti-Feminist. “Is diabolic, but during 1966-69 the American govt, the FBI and police were out to get organized forces like The Black Panthers as well as Neo-Nazis, who were brewing up all sorts of revolutionary ideas and projects within America.” (Kenneth O'Reilly, Racial Matters: The FBI's Secret File). At the height of Yockey’s transatlantic engagements, between the old-Nazi ranks in Germany and new scouts living in the US and Canada, his book became a bestseller on both sides. Eventually pursued and apprehended by the FBI, Yockey was jailed in March 1960. He committed suicide in June the same year, by consuming a cyanide pill. What followed over decades was something Yockey could never imagine. The advent of megachurches, creationist seminars, right-to-life retreats, Christian broadcasting, books, self-help guides, charity and cult-like leaders of the “Christian Right”.

Weaponized with new techniques, American nationalism is mostly Christian revivalism, but that aside, is about sensational news, gory headlines, minimizing diversity, building purity, and all sorts of racist hierarchical worldviews. The Southern Poverty Law Center tells us that “Since his run at the Senate, Sol Invictus has made plain he intends to become a prominent voice on the extreme right, speaking at rallies and on YouTube videos. Central to his message is that a Civil War is necessary to preserve Western civilization”. Collective psychosis can range from Homophobia to WW2 Holocaust denial to “ProLife activism” to sweeping denial of science to xenophobic Silicon Valley ‘Doomer Cults’. Way worse, when Fascism and Christian dogma takes on Supreme Court rulings, including the overturning of Roe v. Wade “that heralds the ascendancy of Christian fascism in the United States.” (Chris Hedges, 2023).

The Fascist American Christian is warning his fellow white men and women, about “criminal migrants and violent Venezuelans” by “uncovering the truth” or fabricating daily conspiracy theories. Messianism, hate and faith needs an economy and platforms to thrive. Is why thousands of American Neo-Nazis, Fascist coalitions, quack scientists and conspiracy theorists currently thrive on Twitter(X) and Rumble. The “movement” within America, that Francis Yockey, George Rockwell and the Grand Dragons of the KKK dreamt of, is not yet revolutionary, but Christian fascism and domestic terrorism has spread like a parasite within America.

Like Germany and America countries like Hungary, Ukraine, Belarus and Russia also nest “professional Neo-Nazis”. Most recent is the emergence of the Azov Brigade, a Right-wing military junta, who have trained “vigilante groups that will prevent people of the region from speaking Russian”. No conspiracy that Hassidic Jewish sects collude with Ukrainian Neo-Nazis, as emissaries and volunteers of hyper-racist, hyper-nationalism.

The gradual alignment of Europe’s virulent Jew-haters has a direct relationship to the interests and corresponding regimes that financed and weaponized the Zionists. The creation of Israel was still decades away. And that “project” did include the Nazis. The initial phase of Zionism colluded with Czar loyalists and wealthy Jews based in Russia (early 1900s), the Nazis in Germany (1920s-30s) and later with British Imperialists (1920s-40s) leading to the ‘Nakba’ (1947). Is important to remember, that the Jewish working class in Russia, had organized itself politically as ‘The Bund’. The first Socialist Jewish Party, and clearly these folks were Anti-Zionist and Anti-colonial from the beginning.

Considered “father of Zionist nationalism” one who deeply opined for the extermination of Arabs from Palestine, Jerusalem and Lebanon, Theodore Herzl was a close ally of Count Von Plehve, the author of the “worst pogroms” in pre-Communist Russia, Ukraine and Poland (1890-1905). In a letter, from Herzl to Count Von Plehve - “Help me to reach the land [Palestine] sooner and the revolt against the Great Czar will end.” Wealthy Zionists were not only racist but also diabolically anti-Jewish and anti-Revolutionary at the same time. Clearly felt in the words of Je’ev Jabotinsky loathing the working class Jews of Europe “…is a very bad people; its neighbors hate it and rightly so ... its only salvation lies in a general immigration to the land of Israel.” (The Hidden History of Zionism Ralph Schoenman). Organized to unite the small bases located across Europe, the Zionist Congress of 1933 (Warsaw) marked a shocking event. The resolution calling for action against Nazis, Anti-Semites and Hitler “was defeated by sweeping majority of votes…” (The Hidden History of Zionism)

Zionist elites, bank owners, academics and Rabbis were committed to destroy the ‘Jewish Boycott’ of German products and the gradual dissolution of the Socialist Jewish Party. The Zionist business class favored German economic growth that had nearly crashed during 1918-25 than show solidarity to rising working class resistance. “The Jews that the Nazis favored during 1920s, 30s and even later were almost all wealthy Zionists. Prominent figures were spared the holocaust and slave camps for their loyalty to one or another form of western imperialism” (Rabbi Dov Michael Weissmandel).

What can account for this incredible willingness of Zionist leaders to betray millions of Jews in Europe (1920-45)? And how could the ‘WW2 Holocaust’ be solely attributed as a Nazi project? Indeed Zionism, the Third Reich and the early foundations of Israel (as a new Jewish nationalist project) are bound together in a catastrophic relationship and “murderous heroes”. Born in Poland, David Ben Gurion was one such figure who laid out the “master plan” of the Zionist “master race”. A project which involved the massacre of Palestinians and other Arabs. Call it an endless pogrom that lasted throughout the rest of Ben Gurion’s life. “Political power of proceeding Israeli leaders would be directly proportional to their will to kill and engage in the systematic destruction of Palestinians”(Ilan Pappé). The history of expansion is well known — of Israeli settler colonialism, empowered by the US, UK, France, Canada, Germany and host of nations within the imperial realm, overriding almost every United Nations mandate or decision. The Jewish Defense League (JDL) founded by Meir Kahane, born in America, as messianic as racist, he wanted “…all Jews move to Israel”. Alas, Meir and his son were assassinated in New York (November 1990).

Zionism is but a different pattern of the same racist “Master Race” theories wielded earlier by the European Settler Colonizers, Nazis, Fascists and Nationalists. “Zionist terrorism and Judeo-nationalism” that erupted during 1947 Nakba is well documented in thousands of books, documentaries, academic discourses and media, charting the spread of settler colonial projects (Kibbutz) throughout occupied Palestine, Jerusalem and West Bank. Less known is the history of Zionist terrorism and militia, such as the Haganah, Lehi and Irgun, responsible for multiple assassinations, bombings and destruction of Palestinian villages, well before the formation of Israel. Zionism itself split into the Left and the Right, that provided ideologies, training and weapons to ever new militias dedicated to the eradication of Palestine, or call it the “final solution”. Louis Theroux’s new documentary is a must watch to see and understand 21st century “Judeo-Nazis” or call them psychotic Israelis who also identify each other as “God’s Chosen People”.

But far greater in number are fascists and xenophobes in India, also waging asymmetric terrorism against minorities and Dalits. Emerging from this milieu are cult leaders and “Saffron Hate Gangs”. Millions of Nationalist Hindus, who espouse the ‘Trishul’ instead of the Swastika, devoted to one or another form of nationalism, backed by the mainstream media drumming up fear, past glory and fury. The heraldry of Hindu nationalism goes back just about 100 years and the founders were inspired by the rise of the Third Reich and figures like Joseph Goebbels and Adolf Hitler.

Decades later, as devoted to “Hindutva” are certain sections of the Indian diaspora (Gujaratis, Punjabis, Baniyas) based in the US, UK and Canada. Hundreds of thousands of Indians earning dollars and pounds, but collectively loyal to some imaginary “Hindu nation under Hindu law”. Reality is reverse inside the world’s oldest surviving apartheid. The “lynch-map” of India is way more clustered than that of America’s. By now we can conclude, that there is a deadly portending relationship between Fascism, race and religion, regardless of nation, racial identity or era. The dreadful conditions and disastrous outcomes, all-be-it Christian, Jewish, Islamic, Hindu, Sikh or Buddhist etc.

For me, the point of writing this story was to figure the hoax within the “moral renewal” of a nation or the mass deception of superiority shared by the “New Right”. What is a pure nation? A closed gene pool. What makes up the entirely false promise of “return to a lost golden age”. A while back I was convinced that the average Neo-Nazi suffered a form of psychosis. A condition that can take over any rational person. But I was wrong. The “New Right” is a part of reality, and one cannot shed tears or just ramp up activism to salvage democracy. Voting for a system that is unable to contain every form of injustice and suffering. All such forms of Nationalism, Fascism, Neo-Conservatism, and Racial Pride seduces and effectively destroys democratic society. Is a precipitous fall but in slow motion. Nothing could be more prescient, than the ongoing genocide in Gaza, as an outcome of unchecked Nationalism, Zionism and racial hatred, yet pointing to the incoming collapse of Israel itself. The difference between the Wehrmacht and the IDF is worthless considerations of technique and technology. Supporters of Israel, young and old, are but empowering Judeo-Christian Neo-Nazism, and insane leaders and soldiers who kill babies, starve innocent civilians, rape prisoners and bomb hospitals, clinics, schools and mosques.

Is the ideology, the will to kill, or the “final solution” that unites people to a cause, even if it equates to destruction. In the name of nation, race and vision, a set of horrible people will wage war, will commit war crimes, will unleash violence upon the poor and the inferior. There will never be any “moral army” ever. No one better than Chris Hedges to encapsulate the matter by saying “always necessitate the blood sacrifices of the condemned.”
