Is there a threshold for the definition of megacity? I suspect this unraveling will eventually even get moderately sized urban centers that cannot grow their food in the "local" area.
Hi Peace.. I suspect that "threshold" was done with at least 20 years ago. We can see that in the case of cities like Shanghai, Mumbai, Dubai, Mexico City etc. There is no way that such cities will sustain their food demands independently or collectively. To an extent we can be optimistic, that small communities within certain megacities are already involved in community farms and gardens.
